Conference on European Foreign Policy. Assessing the EU's role in the world

07/07/2008 - 09:00
10/07/2008 - 19:00
Europe/Rome

The conference is organized by the University of Rome Tor Vergata, in collaboration with the Centre for American Studies in Rome and the Brookings Institution, and it is co-financed by the European Commission.

In order to draw a comprehensive picture of EU foreign policy, the conference will address both "horizontal" and "vertical" issues. Vertical analyses will explore geographic regions and include the study of relations with the European Neighborhood, the United States, Latin America, the Mediterranean Area, the Middle East, Africa, and the Far East; horizontal analyses will explore themes that are relevant to the external dimension of the EU.

The conference is free and open to the public, but requires prior registration. Please note that we are unable to provide any logistical or financial support for travel and lodging, though lunch will be provided at the conference.
