MILAN SAYS: STOP CZAR PUTIN!
Despite the August, several dozen people have expressed yesterday evening in Piazza della Scala its solidarity with Georgia and its concern for what is happening in the Caucasus.
In front of the Scala of Milan demonstrators have srotolato Georgian flags and banners that said "Stop Czar Putin" and "Out of Russian troops from Georgia."
At the demonstration organized by Annaviva (in collaboration with Articolo21) also participated representatives of the Socialist Party, the Radical Party, the Democratic Party and Democratic Left. At the presidium were also many women and men of Georgian Diaspora. The Georgian community in Milan launched for this afternoon at 16.30 a new event, also in Piazza della Scala. A presidium which adheres also Annaviva.
We can not leave Georgia at the mercy of his fate.
We can not pass over in silence the dangers behind this renewed Russian revanchism, a true threat against the former Soviet republics. Especially for those where, during decolonization, the sentiments of russofobia are more marked. Budapest, Prague, Kabul and Grozny are enough. We must now put a stop to the new czar of gas.
