The Avios Big Reward

Chances are you’ve heard of Avios: One of the most popular reward programs out there that offers numerous opportunities to redeem your points for travel. As you know, travel is one of my favourite activities ever, so any opportunity to help you travel cheaper or longer is a priority for me too. Avios have a competition running at the moment, called the Avios Big Reward with some pretty incredible prizes up for grabs:

  • Flights and Accommodation for a weekend break to Budapest – one of Europe’s most underrated holiday destinations.
  • An Indulgent Spa day for two – send this one directly to me, please!
  • A two night UK break with two days worth of Avis car hire.A number of tickets including the incredible Eurostar tickets and tickets to a number of shows.

The great thing about the prizes is that there are a few different things up for grabs, so there are more chances to win. You can double your entry by sharing the competition socially, so don’t forget to do this.

Entries close REALLY soon – on the 31st of July, so it’s best to get in quickly to win. I love short, sharp competitions like this because there isn’t a long wait to see if you have been successful.

Personally, if I could choose one of those prizes, I would go for the trip to Budapest. Of all of the cities I have visited in Europe (and trust me, there’s a few), Budapest ranks in the top three. There’s so much to do and see in this old, bustling and charming city. Another thing I really enjoyed about Budapest is the clubs. If you’re young – or young at heart – and looking for a big night out, Budapest is the perfect place for you.

A Little More About Avios

Through Avios you can collect and redeem points for a whole host of travel related products, from flights and car rental, all the way through to hotel deals and tickets for attractions. This means if you spend wisely and join Avios, you can easily save considerable cash on your next holiday. Travel doesn’t have to be hugely expensive, especially if you can cut out some of your flight costs. If you think about how much money you’ve spent in the past month, year, or even decade – you could have earned a LOT of Avios points.

If you can collect Avios just with your normal spending habits, and then redeem them for travel rewards, then you’re not losing anything and potentially gaining the world. Sounds like a great deal to me.

Do you use any rewards programs? If so, what? Let me know in the comments below. I love hearing how others save money on travel.
