5. Canada

By 2012, there were around 750,000 Canadians that visited China for various reasons such as meetings or business, sightseeing leisure, visiting families and friends, working, and other intentions. 4. Philippines

Due to the distance from China, many travellers from the Philippines make their way to China by boat every year for various reasons. Approximately 890,000 citizens from the Philippines travel to China each year with a 7.97 percent growth rate. Over 540,000 of those visitors made the trip for work visa related purposes. Surprisingly, a documented 120,000 people made the journey by foot. Of the visitors who made the journey, most of them were between the ages of 25 and 44. According to an arrangement between China and the Philippines, nationals of China and the Philippines, who have a valid diplomatic or service (official) passport, are excused from visa requirement for entry into, exit from, or transit through the territory China for a period not surpassing 30 days.

3. Mongolia

Of the 990,000 Mongolian visitors to China, a majority of those individuals traveled with a student or work visa to remain in the country. 770,000 of those people chose to get to China by road as opposed to air or boat. To apply for a visa to China from Mongolia, it is advised to have prepared; an authorized passport with six months of remaining validity and at least one blank visa page in it, a completed Visa Application Form, and a recent photo of a 2×2 square inch glued or stapled to your application form.

2. Japan

Japan has roughly a surprising 3.66 million visitors to and from China each year with a 1.96% growth rate. Many of the Japanese visas acquired for travel to China have been tourist visas with 930,000 people stating they have traveled for leisure or sightseeing. Work visas are also popular with 950,000 people declaring they have applied and successfully acquired a work visa for China. The most common means of transport for visitors from Japan is by air with 2.84 million flights being used for travel between the two nations. 1. South Korea

South Korea tops the charts with the most visitors into China. With an astounding 4.19 million visitors each year at a 2.67% growth rate, many of these travelers are based in China for work or business purposes. 1.96 million of the total travelers also travel to China for the sake of visiting and sightseeing. Whne traveling to China from South Korea, a 72-hour visa free visit is permitted when in transit to Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Dalian, Guangzhou, Guilin, Shanghai, Shenyang and Xi’an. Other than that exception, citizens of South Korea should check their local consulate to make certain of the visa requirements needed for their intended travel to China.
